WILD HEARTLAND:  

Featured here are images from my home state, Illinois, where I first learned to see, feel, and express myself. For most of my formative years, it was Illinois where I first practiced using a camera and found taking photographs wasn't as simple as I thought. It took years to finally match my vision to the resulting images. I learned that the eyes were impotant but even more so, my soul was the driving force behind any successful shot. When I began to follow my intuition and cherish the experiences the photographs became natural consequences of my time in the arms of Mother Nature.

I have been blessed to travel across the U.S. pursuing wild light and new experiences, but I always return home to practice the art and craft of photography. Alas, I am a continuing work-in-progress. As it should be.
